With today being November 1st, it's the perfect time to start talking about gratitude and how to create a daily habit of gratitude. Gratitude has been a habit I’ve been practicing since the start of the pandemic earlier this year. I’m not perfect, I forget to do it on some days, but I can assure you that in its daily consistency, it has been a revolutionary tool to help me focus on the positive versus the negative.
It’s very easy in today's world to turn on the news, listen to the radio, scroll through social media and immediately you find yourself tumbling down a rabbit hole of negative emotions & thoughts.
Believe it or not, I constantly have to work on overcoming negative thoughts and emotions. Yes, I tend to post positive messages, happy photos, encouraging comments, but on the inside... my daily war is on my mind and pushing myself to think positively. Because this is something I constantly fight for, some days are better than others.
Gratitude has helped me to face these negative thoughts & emotions head-on and from the moment I wake up and start to be thankful for all of the wonderful things God has done through me and for me, I start to break apart the shell of negativity surrounding my mind.
Not only is gratitude a life-altering practice for me personally, but now science is starting to back up what wise & successful people have known all along... If you change what you’re focusing on or thinking about, the things around you begin to change. Why? Because the power of positive thinking begins to do a work inside you, and like a sculptor chiseling into the stone, the power of the light inside you begins to overshadow any darkness that may be trying to overtake you.
I want to share some powerful facts, science, and proven strategies surrounding gratitude with you over this next month, I think we could all use a little positivity, don't you agree? That’s why I’ve developed a 14-day gratitude journal that you can download right now, print off at home, and start using today so that you can challenge yourself to stick to it and see how it can change your life. Oh, yea, and it's absolutely free! I believe this practice will change your life just like it has for me.
Not only will this journal give you an area to write down 5 things you are grateful for each day, but I’ve also included some bible verses on wisdom to help you connect deeper in your relationship with God. Finally, there is an included declaration for you to speak out loud every day to help create a new reality around you.
Stay tuned for more content coming this month and the release of my new app that I hope challenges you the change your thinking as we enter the holiday season and start to shift your thinking into everything we have to be grateful & thankful for.
